Introduction
The purpose of the Bio-Sim® Corporation is to improve the practice and delivery of bio and medical informatics to professionals and consumers through proprietary cutting - edge interactive 3 - dimensional (3D) technologies. These are deployable as broadcast media, turn-key software solutions, cellular and internet applications.
The Company has developed two core patent pending technologies: (1) a versatile and integrative 3D object-oriented anatomical database Digital Human®, and (2) a flexible server-side data image object platform, capable of volumetrically representing radiographic and biometric data OLiVeR® (On-Line Volume Rendering®). Combining these two core technologies results in advances in searching, displaying, unifying, and analyzing diverse forms of medical data and promotes graphically navigable systems.
Bio-Sim has two strategic business units, Digital Human® and Intelligent Simulations™ and one recently formed subsidiary company, Ed-Sim™ LLC. These business units and company utilize Bio-Sim’s core technologies in different combinations to develop and deliver applications to different markets (described below). Digital Human capitalizes on software, internet and cellular functionalities to serve education, healthcare, and Internet 2.0 markets (e.g., www.digitalhuman.com). Intelligent Simulations™ utilizes the combined power of the 3-D anatomical database and data image tools for Hollywood productions and client-specific medical - legal animation / simulation services; and has recently developed interactive virtual reality applications currently being taken into pharmaceutical markets.
